From November 8 to November 10, 2017, the project "Research and Application of Key Techniques of Geomorphic Classification and Precise Geomorphology" participated by Prof. Zhang Hongyan, the professor of School of Geography Sciences of NENU at the 2017 annual meeting of China Society of Surveying and Geomatics held in Nanjing, won the first prize of science and technology of surveying and mapping progress award.
The Prize for Scientific and Technological of Surveying and Mapping Progress was approved by the competent authorities for national science and technology awards and the State Geographic Information Bureau of the State Council for the purpose of rewarding the units and individuals in making important achievements in surveying and mapping geographic information science research, technological innovation and development, promotion and application of scientific and technological achievements and industrialization of high and new technologies. The conference attracted a total of more than 2,700 renowned academicians and experts and scholars from home and abroad. The 2017 Science and Technology Progress Prize announced in the conference includes 6 special prizes, 13 first prizes, 54 second prizes and 73 third prizes.
