Under the theme of "Rural Transformation Promoted by Education", 2017 International Conference on Rural Education was held in NENU. The international experts who attended the meeting came from more than 10 countries such as Sweden, the United States, Pakistan, Russia and Kenya. And there are nearly 200 participants from 44 universities and 10 academies in 22 provinces.
The conference consisted of 23 theme reports and scholars at home and abroad made further communication and discussion revolving around the topics such as "how to hold and analyze the policy significance of rural areas and the development of rural education", "how China and other countries learn from each other against the background of globalization". At last, Wu Zhihui concluded that the seminar would provide a way of theoretical thinking and practical research for people who are interested in the social development of rural areas and the research on rural education in the future.
