On March 25th, the Center for Faculty Development organized the 12th lecture of "NENU's Demonstration Classes". Professor Dou Guimei, a nation-renowned national top teacher and headmaster of Primary School Attached to Tsinghua University, gave a demonstration class with the title of "Dai Song's Cow Painting" and a lecture on "The Realm and Path of Faculty Development."
Dou Guimei used "accurate reading, fluent reading, and comprehensive reading" as the teaching procedure for this piece of literary Chinese and guide students to understand, think and create preface and postscript. Group cooperative exploration was adopted in the class and students read the text in groups. The classroom atmosphere was relaxing and active so that students developed their in-depth thinking through active involvement. In the summary section, Dou Guimei encouraged students to create bravely, and recommended books related to the author Su Shi to promote literary attainments. In the end, Professor Li Guang, Executive Dean of Academy for Research on Faculty Development issued a letter of appointment to Dou Guimei and invited her as a distinguished professor of the Academy.
