During the conference, Yang Xiaohui and the President of Hiroshima University in Japan jointly issued a statement on "deepening educational exchanges and promoting mutual understanding", and proposed four suggestions as the focus of future exchange discussions, such as promoting mutual exchanges and activities for students and advancing cultural and sports exchange programs. The joint statement was unanimously approved by the presidents of China and Japan in the conference.
