Co-sponsored by NENU's National Training Center for Kindergarten Principals of the Ministry of Education of NENU and Shanxi Xueqian Normal University, jointly organized by UNICEF, Faculty of Education of NENU, PhoenixTree International Education Center of Beijing Language and Culture University Press, the 2nd International Symposium on Chinese Kindergarten Principals was held in Xi'an, Shanxi Province from May 5th to 6th.
More than 1100 participants from all over the country attended this symposium, including kindergarten principals, leaders of local administrative departments for education and teachers and students from universities. The theme of this symposium was "Inheritance and Transformation - Kindergarten Improvement in the New Era". Well-known preschool education experts at home and abroad made special lectures at the conference such as Dr. Chen Xuefeng, Professor Deborah Stipek from Stanford University in the United States, Dr. Jan Dubiel of the British Early Excellence Center, and Professor Jiao Runkai, director of the Training Center for Kindergarten Principals.
Through lectures and interactions, the participants knew more about the policies and theoretical hotspots of preschool education at home and abroad and the theoretical and practical progress in kindergartens, and they conducted in-depth discussions on the improvement of kindergartens in the new era from various dimensions.
