On May 15th, NENU convened the "Changchun City Continued (2001-2020)" editorial work deployment meeting. 18 officials from the relevant departments of the School Office, the Party Committee Organization Department and the Party Committee Propaganda Department and editors attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Yan, deputy secretary of the School Party Committee.
In his summary speech, Wang Yan further emphasized the importance of compiling history records. He pointed out that a nation that has no records and no memory is equal to no history and an immature nation. A city without history and culture cannot follow the pace of the times. This work inherits the context, displays the world, unites people's minds, promotes development and is doing in the present age but benefiting the later generations. As a university directly under the Ministry of Education and a city unit, the renewal of NENU is an important part of the city's history. Participation in the compilation of city records is related to the cultural inheritance and development of NENU and also related to the social image and influence of “Double Tops”construction of NENU. Therefore, the relevant departments must attach great importance to and take special responsibility for personnel. They must take strict measures to ensure strict quality control and co-operate in a timely manner so that the revival can stand the test of history and have distinctive characteristics of the times and unique features of NENU.
