From June 21st to 30th, NENU held the "2018 Hong Kong and Macao-Mainland College Students Summer Camp for Northeast Regional Culture Practice Training". A total of 70 students from seven universities participated in the activity, including the University of Macau, Lingnan University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Baptist University, the Hong Kong University of Education, the Open University of Hong Kong and NENU.
The administrative staff in charge of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of NENU gave a welcome speech at the opening ceremony and expressed sincere welcome to all the students. During the 10-day event, students from Hong Kong and Macao attended the "Northeast Regional Cultural Lectures" and experienced the ancient folk paper-cut art of Han nationality and the Chinese flower arrangement culture experience course. They visited the Museum of the Puppet Manchurian Palace and the Planning and Exhibition Hall of Changchun City, the Northeast National Folk Museum, the Natural Museum, and the Changchun Movie Old Site Museum. They have learned about the history and culture of the Northeast through these visits. Lin Yijie of the Hong Kong University of Education said that the museums gave him a good visual experience. They finally had the opportunity to understand the culture of the Northeast, and it was amazing. Through ice-breaking games and quality development, the solid friendship between Hong Kong and Macao and mainland students has been rapidly enhanced. Zhong Dexi of the Open University of Hong Kong said that the volunteers of NENU were very kind and made them feel that the intimate relationship. Through the four-day trip to Changbai Mountain, YanjiCity and Hunchun City, the students from Hong Kong and Macao experienced the unique beauty of the Northeast. Many campers said that the Tianchi of Changbai Mountain and the food of Yanji made them shocked when they were interviewed. Finally, the students from Hong Kong and Macao visited the main campus and Jingyue campus of NENU, and learned about the development and history of NENU.
