Recently, Wei Min, director of the Academic Affairs Division of NENU, and his colleagues participated in the International Meeting on "Cultivation and Evaluation of Creativity and Critical Thinking" organized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). A total of 42 universities from 18 countries attended the meeting, including 5 Chinese universities, such as Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University and our university. On behalf of the Chinese universities, NENU' representative made a speech entitled "Constructing a World-class University with the Philosophy of 'Creative Education' " at the meeting.
The meeting discussed the overall design and implementation plan of OECD's "Cultivation and Evaluation of Creativity and Critical Thinking of Higher Education" project. They also discussed the key elements, cultivation initiatives of creative and critical thinking, assessment and testing methods, and expected results and showing the application cases and experience of the project in teacher education and general higher education.
