On September 14, Yang Jinquan, President of Thailand's Gele University, paid a visit to NENU. Yang Xiaohui, the party secretary of NENU, and Liu Yichun, President of NENU, met with the delegation. At the meeting, Liu Yichun and Yang Jinquan signed a cooperation agreement. Zhang Jingping, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Division, and the responsible persons of the Ministry of Education, the Training Center of the Kindergarten of the Ministry of Education, and the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of NENU attended the meeting.
Liu Yichun welcomed the delegation and described the development history and current situation of NENU. He introduced the operation of the school's talent training, faculty construction, scientific research, international development and "double first-class" discipline construction. He pointed out that with this visit as an opportunity and based on the inter-school exchange agreement, the two sides actively carried out teacher-student exchanges under the framework of the "The Belt and Road" to jointly carry out academic cooperation and promote the internationalization of the two universities.
Yang Jinquan expressed gratitude for the warm reception of NENU and highly praised the achievements of NENU. He introduced the discipline setting, student training, and international student structure of Gele University. He hoped that under the framework of “The Belt and Road”, Gele University would actively expand cooperation with Chinese universities and establish a bridge for the friendly relations between China and Thailand through educational exchanges.
The two sides discussed the possibility of establishing a Sino-Thai research center and agreed that, in a pragmatic spirit, the two sides would gradually promote the cooperation between the two universities in specific projects, and jointly establish the China-Thailand Research Center when the time is ripe.
