On September 17, a delegation of three including McRallis, Deputy provost of the University of Illinois at Chicago and Tatum, Dean of the Faculty of Education of the University of Illinois at Chicago visited NENU. Zhang Jingping, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of NENU, and relevant persons in charge of the Ministry of Education and the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of NENU met with the delegation.
Zhang Jingping welcomed the delegation and introduced the development history and current situation of NENU as well as the personnel training, scientific research, international development and the construction of 'double first-class' disciplines. Zhang Jingping affirmed the achievements of the master's double-degree program jointly carried out by the two universities in the past three years. She hoped that with this visit as an opportunity, based on the inter-school agreement, the two universities would actively cooperate in the field of teacher-student exchange, academic exchanges, and staff training, thus promoting the internationalization of the two universities.
McRallis expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of NENU and spoke highly of the achievements of NENU. He introduced the discipline setting, student development, and international students structure of the University of Illinois at Chicago, and hoped that the two universities would expand the breadth and depth of cooperation in the future.
