On March 30, the Earth Hour Changchun Event, co-sponsored by the WWF Northeast Project Office, the School of Environment and the Natural Museum of NENU, was successfully held in the Natural Museum. More than 300 people from all walks of life participated in the event.
Through exhibitions, flash shows, literary and artistic performances, natural lectures, environmental knowledge questions and answers, environmental drama and other forms, the activities publicized the green and environmental lifestyle to the public, and advocated the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. The participants also sent environmental video through their social platform to participate in the "Earth Hour" environmental activities.
"Earth Hour" is an initiative launched by WWF to the world in 2007. It calls on individuals, communities, businesses and governments to turn off their lights for one hour every year between 20:30 and 21:30 on the last Saturday of March, in order to stimulate people's sense of responsibility to protect the earth and to reflect on environmental issues such as climate change, demonstrating their support for global action against climate warming. The global theme of "Earth Hour" in 2019 is "Symbiosis with Nature".
