Recently, the results of the 2nd National Excellent Geography Book (Regular University Textbook) of the Geographical Society of China were issued at the annual conference of Chinese geography edition and publication. The textbook "World Geography" edited by Yang Qingshan, Han Jie and Ding Sibao, teachers of the School of Geographical Sciences of NENU, won the "National Excellent Geography Book Award".
The selection of the National Excellent Geographical Book (Regular University Textbook) Award covers the geographical books (textbooks) published in China from 1994 to 2013. A total of 30 textbooks were awarded. The textbook "World Geography" edited by Yang Qingshan, Han Jie and Ding Sibao was published by the Higher Education Press in 2004. This textbook builds a complete and innovative knowledge system of the discipline. It is widely used in comprehensive universities in China. The textbook has been printed for 27 times and the printing volume is nearly 200,000. The completion of the textbook is a continuation and development on the basis of the previous textbook edited by Professor Chen Cai and Professor Liu Desheng from the School of Geographical Sciences. The new edition of the textbook is being prepared.
