NENU Approved the Funding of Tin Ka Ping Foundation Project

Recently, the "Assistance Training Project of Rural Kindergarten Principals in Jilin Province" jointly declared by the Education Foundation of NENU and the National Training Center for Kindergarten Principals of the Ministry of Education was approved by the first expert review meeting of Hong Kong Tin Ka Ping Foundation in 2019, with a funding of 770,000 yuan.

On the stage of project declaration, the National Training Center for Kindergarten Principals exchanged ideas constantly with the Education Department of Jilin Province, and identified the main body of the training as kindergarten principals of the rural areas of Jilin Province in order to help with the poverty alleviation and serve local education. During the implementation of the project, the kindergarten principals of the rural areas of Jilin Province will be trained to renew the concept of preschool education, clarify educational goals and improve the management ability through intensive classes, experiential training and back-to-work practice. The aim of the project is to cultivate a group of excellent kindergarten principals for the rural areas of Jilin Province and help to improve the quality of preschool education in Jilin Province.

Tin Ka Ping Foundation is a non-profit charity registered in Hong Kong in 1982 by Dr. Tin Ka Ping. The funding sources are all donated by Dr. Tin Ka Ping and his family-owned companies. In 1996, Tin Ka Ping donated 8 million yuan to our university to build Tin Ka Ping Educational Academy. He was awarded the Honorary Professor of NENU and Honorary Dean of the School of Education Science.
