On December 11th, in order to further promote the construction of the "double first-class" discipline of NENU and implement the Decision on Further Revitalizing the Philosophy and Social Science NENU, NENU held a self-examination and evaluation work conference for the liberal arts research institutions according to the relevant spirit of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the school, comprehensively launching a new round of comprehensive reform of liberal arts research institutions. The heads of the liberal arts and arts and sciences intersections (departments, institutes), the party committee secretaries, the persons in charge of scientific research, and the research secretaries attended the conference. Vice President Wang Zhanren attended the conference and made a mobilization speech on behalf of NENU. The meeting was chaired by Wang Chunyu, director of the Social Sciences Department of NENU.
Before the conference, the Social Science Department conducted a detailed and extensive investigation and research, and made full communication with the heads of various units and some scientific research institutions. The main objective of the self-examination and evaluation of this scientific research institutions is to find out the present situation and prepare for the comprehensive reform, evaluation, funding and construction of the next scientific research institutions. Based on this, NENU will further improve the institutional mechanisms for the management of scientific research institutions, actively explore new models for the development of liberal arts research institutions, fully stimulate the vitality of scientific research institutions, promote the coordinated development of scientific research institutions at all levels, and truly allow scientific research institutions to return to academic standards and disciplines as well as the development of NENU itself.
