From December 22 to 23, the first "Creative Education" Model Class Show was held in the "wisdom classroom" of Yifu Teaching Building in NENU. This activity, with the theme of "Class Revolution, NENU's Action", showcased 25 demonstration classes from 20 colleges and departments. Ten teachers, including Wang Qingyong, Lv Lijie, Liu Yongbing, Li Yangguang, Jin Shiyou, Zhou Yonggu, Zheng Changlong, Gao Hang, Guo Fengzhi and Wei Min, were invited as the panel of judges. The event was hosted by Wang Yang, a young teacher of the School of Media Science.
This class show adopted two ways: on-site observation and live webcast, including lecture presentation, on-site teaching, expert comments and questions. Each class lasted 30 minutes. Guided by the concept of "creative education", the lecturers in the demonstration classroom, guided by the teaching objective of "value shaping, ability training and knowledge imparting", adhered to the student-centered and problem-oriented approach, used the open and flexible learning space of the "wisdom classroom" and the multi-intelligence media environment, and combined the characteristics of the subject, carried out innovative design in teaching methods, teaching process and other aspects. Demonstration classes with distinct features and different styles have emerged in this activity.
After careful preparation and repeated grinding, the lecturers in this demonstration classes have made positive theoretical innovation and practical exploration in teaching mode, teaching method and teaching process. The 25 classes not only reflected the "height" of subject understanding and students' learning, but also the "width" of various courses and disciplines, and the "length" of popularization and demonstration. This activity has attracted wide attention from teachers and students of NENU. Nearly 6000 people watched the live webcast. Teachers and students agree that this activity provides us with high-quality curriculum resources and opportunities for teaching reflection, and stimulates the enthusiasm of teachers and students to devote themselves to class teaching reform.
