Recently, Wang Zhanren, vice president of NENU and vice chairman of its Education Foundation paid a work visit to Tin Ka Ping Foundation, Siyuan Foundation, Li Ka Shing Foundation, Sun Hung Kai Properties Kwoks Foundation and Grace Charity Foundation at the invitation of Tin Ka Ping Foundation and other Hong Kong charity organizations with his colleagues.
During the visit, Wang Zhanren exchanged ideas with Tian Qingxian, chairman of the Board of Directors of Tin Ka Ping Foundation, Li Yingjin, consultant of Siyuan Foundation, Li Haowen, executive Director, Tang Lixia, representative of Li Ka Shing Foundation, Li Jiahua, director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Kwoks Foundation, and Jian Yaoguang, president of Grace Charity Foundation. During the visit, Wang Zhanren introduced the history, characteristics and the development of the Education Foundation of NENU. Meanwhile, he introduced the “new model of U-G-S teacher education” and related projects such as teacher training and rural education research and conducted in-depth exchanges with the foundations on the development and prospects of the Education Foundation of NENU.
In 1996, Tin Ka Ping Foundation donated 8 million RMB to build “Tin Ka Ping Educational Academy” in our university. It is the highest single donation of the foundation in China. In recent years, Tin Ka Ping Foundation has maintained a good cooperative relationship with our university. Mr. Tian Jiabing, Tian Qingxian, chairman of the board of directors of the Foundation, and Dai Xili, vice chairman of the board of directors of the Foundation have visited NENU. Since 2010, Siyuan Foundation has set up “Siyuan Scholarship and Grants” in our university to support outstanding students with financial difficulties and has donated 6.77 million RMB until now. Li Ka Shing Foundation, Sun Hung Kai Properties Kwoks Foundation and Grace Charity Foundation are famous large-scale foundations registered in Hong Kong. They are all committed to public welfare to promote the construction and development of our country.
It was the first time that the Education Foundation of NENU conducted an exclusive visit to Hong Kong. Through the visit, the communication of long-term cooperative public welfare organizations such as Tin Ka Ping Foundation and Siyuan Foundation has been further strengthened, and it has laid a foundation for establishing contacts, enhancing exchanges and exploring cooperation with major foundations in Hong Kong in the future.
