NENU’s 33 Projects Approved as General Research Projects of Humanities and Social Sciences Funded by the Ministry of Education in 2019

Recently, the result of general research projects of Humanities and Social Sciences Funded by the Ministry of Education in 2019 was released. 33 projects of our university are on the list, with a total funding of 2.81 million yuan. Among them,  9 are planning fund projects, 22 youth fund projects and 2 special task projects. It covers 9 disciplines including foreign literature, education, science of law, Marxism/ideological and political education, economics, history, psychology, art and interdisciplinary/comprehensive studies. The total number of projects ranks fifth in the nation.

According to the statistics, the approved projects hosted by the applicants of our university presents the following characteristics. Nationwide, 9.6% of the applied planning projects and youth projects have been approved. 23.1% of the applied projects from our university have been approved, 14% higher than the national level. The rate of approval for young teachers under 39 years old has reached the highest level in the history, accounting for 66.7% of all the approved projects by NENU applicants, with the number of youth projects ranking third in the nation. The number of projects in some disciplines has also increased significantly. The number of foreign literature projects ranks first in the nation; the number of education projects ranks second in the nation and the number of science of law projects ranks sixth in the nation. The achievements in these disciplines will certainly contribute to the construction and development of the "double first-rate" disciplines of our university.
