On September 29th, the People's Government of Jilin Province held 2019 National Day Reception for Foreign Experts. Oda Hideaki, a Japanese expert of the School of History and Culture of our university was awarded the "Changbai Mountain Friendship Award". Olia Sebina, a Russian expert of the School of History and Culture, and Kim Heedae, a Korean expert of the School of Physics, were awarded the title of "Outstanding Foreign Experts of Jilin Province".
At the meeting, Chinese and foreign guests celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People' Republic of China. Jing Junhai, Deputy Secretary of Jilin Provincial Party Committee and governor, gave awards to the award-winning representatives of outstanding foreign experts and extended sincere gratitude and greetings to all foreign experts and friends who care about and support the development of Jilin Province. An Lijia, deputy governor of Jilin Province, attended the reception.
The "Changbai Mountain Friendship Award" is established by the People's Government of Jilin Province to commend foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the economic construction and social development of Jilin Province. The qualification for the title of "Outstanding Foreign Experts of Jilin Province" is jointly evaluated by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Jilin Province, the Education Department of Jilin Province and the Foreign Experts Bureau of Jilin Province to commend outstanding foreign experts working in Jilin Province.
