"Tour Guide Professional Quality Research and Training Program--Boarder Tour Guide Pilot Class" was held in NENU from April 15th to 19th. It was hosted b y the Market Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Jilin Province and the School of History and Culture of NENU. Peng Cheng, Director of the Travel Agency and Guides Supervision Office of the Department of Market Management of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Tian Yunpeng, deputy inspector of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jilin Province, Zhou Xuejun, Director of the Market Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Supervision Bureau of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jilin Province, and Han Dongyu, Vice President of NENU, attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Yang Shanling, Secretary General of the Party Committee of the School of History and Culture. Han Dongyu, Tian Yunpeng, and Peng Cheng delivered speeches on the opening ceremony.
The pilot class was designed with the regional characteristics of Jilin Province, with a focus on training outbound tour guides, especially border tour guides. The courses of the pilot class are divided into three parts: basic course, extended course and practical course. The team of experts, formed by scholars, researchers in related fields and first-line practitioners, carried out professional training through expert lectures, case teachings, on-site demonstrations and experience exchanges. The pilot class aims to help border guides consolidate the theoretical foundation, expand knowledge reserves, enhance professionalism and improve service level.
At the closing ceremony, the students in each group summarized the study in the pilot class. Professor Han Binna and Zhou Xuejun from the School of History and Culture delivered summary speeches on the research and training activities. Ma Xiaoyan, Deputy Secretary General of the Party Committee of NENU and Vice President of NENU, issued course-completion certificates to students.
