On April 22nd, six media of Jilin Province, including Jilin Daily and Jilin Net, made a joint interview to the measures and achievements of "Contributions of a new model of ‘U-G-S’ teacher education to the reform and development of basic education", themed by "Magnificent 70 Years and Striving in the New Era". Wei Min, Director of the Teaching Affairs Department of NENU, relevant leaders from the Publicity Department of the Party Committee, representatives from experimental zones, instructors and student representatives from our university attended the interview.
In the interview, Wei Min introduced the origin, main measures and reform achievements of the new model of U-G-S teacher education. He said that NENU, which inherits the red gene, takes the need of the country as the choice of NENU. Since its establishment 73 years ago, it has continuously manifested the school-running characteristics of "serving the basic education". In 2007, the university creatively proposed and implemented a new model of "university-government-school"("U-G-S") teacher education. It is committed to solving the problem of how to effectively integrate theory and practice in teacher education, innovating talent training mode and exploring new paths for university running.
