Recently, the result of the "14th Chinese University Students of the Year" was issued. Liu Qiang, an undergraduate from the School of Political Science and Law of NENU, was on the list.
The selection activity was guided by the Ministry of Education and People's Daily Press, and jointly hosted by People Net and Guangming Daily Press. After the steps of recommendation, selection and results announcement, 10 students were selected as the “University Students of the Year”, 40 were nominated, several were shortlisted.
Liu Qiang is a Grade-Four public-funded teacher-to-be student from the School of Political Science and Law. He comes from a poor family but was able to thrive in adversity. Since entering the school, he has strengthened his teaching skills and was determined to be a teacher. He won the top prize in the teaching skill competition, and won the first prize in the national and provincial ideological and political course teaching competitions for college students. Now he has been employed in High School Attached to Northeast Normal University as a teacher of ideological and political course.
