On November 27th, the "2019 Japanese Youth Film Festival", co-sponsored by Japan Foundation, Consulate-General of Japan in Shenyang and the Foreign Affairs Office of Jilin Province, and undertaken by our university was held in Preparatory School for Chinese Students to Japan of NENU. Sugita Masahiko, the chief consul of Consulate-General of Japan in Shenyang, Wang Yan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of NENU, representatives from the Foreign Affairs Office of Jilin Province and Changchun City, and nearly 300 teachers and students from universities in Jilin Province participated in the film festival.
Sugita Masahiko said in the opening speech that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Japan has ushered in the new era of "Beautiful Harmony"and Sino-Japanese relations have entered into a new stage of development. The Chinese and Japanese governments define this year as the "China-Japan Youth Communication and Promotion Year". As one of the activities of the Communication and Promotion Year, this film festival will play 5 films in Shenyang, Harbin and Changchun.
