Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the list of the first batch of “National Language Promotion Bases”. Our university, together with Peking University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Xiamen University and other universities, was on the list. Our university is the only selected university in Jilin Province.
In order to implement the requirements of the “Administrative Measures for National Language Promotion Bases”, the National Language Working Committee and the Department of Language Application and Administration of the Ministry of Education organized the selection of the first batch of “National Language Promotion Bases” in 2019. Under the coordination and organization of the Social Sciences Department, our university made the School of Chinese Language and Literature the main applicant, which cooperated with the International School of Chinese Studies and other relevant departments to prepare the application. After being recommended by the Education Department of Jilin Province and verified by the Ministry of Education and the National Language Working Committee, our university was accepted.
