Led by Wang Hao, an academician of the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, the project “Research on Major Issues and Technological Path Consulting of Creating a National Sustainable Development Agenda Innovation Demonstration Zone in Baishan City” was approved as the Chinese Academy of Engineering key field cooperation project (Chinese Academy of Engineering consulting research project) with a fund of 1.5 million yuan. Among the 5 research topics of this project, our university has undertaken two, with a total of 500,000 yuan approved. The two topics are Topic 2 “Research on the Prominent Problems and Technological Paths of Strengthening Ecosystem Restoration and Environmental Protection in Baishan City” undertaken by Professor Zhang Jiquan from the School of Environment of our university and Topic 5 “Research on the Prominent Problems and Countermeasures of Accelerating the Development of Social Undertakings and Building a Prosperous, Harmonious and Magnificent Frontier in Baishan City”undertaken by Professor Yang Qingshan from the School of Geographical Sciences.
Jilin Research Institute of China Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy was established on May 13th, 2019. As a regional high-end think tank co-constructed by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Jilin Provincial Government, it aims to accord with the national development strategy, conduct consulting and research on Jilin regional economic and social development and major strategic issues of engineering technology, and provide intellectual support for scientific decision-making of the government.
