Mother River Protection Operation is a mass public service activity of ecological protection initiated by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, the National Forestation Committee, the Environment and Resources Committee of the National People’s Congress, the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the State Forestry Bureau in 1999. It is an authoritative award in the field of ecological protection in China and the only award in the field of youth ecological environmental protection work in China. The “Mother River Award” has carried out 8 sessions of selection activities, which has played a demonstrating and leading role in encouraging teenagers and the public to participate in the construction of the ecological civilization.
