On January 5th, China Education Daily reported the education assistance activities in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province conducted by NENU’s National Training Center for Kindergarten Principals of the Ministry of Education with the title of "Kindergarten Education Has the Power to Get Rid of Poverty in Liangshan".
Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province is a national poverty-stricken area of the “three regions and three states”. As the principals pilot project training base of the “National Training Plan”, NENU’s National Training Center for Kindergarten Principals of the Ministry of Education organizes seven pilot principals studios to carry out pairing assistance activities to seven kindergartens in Xichang City. Each principal studio selects three backbone teachers each semester to teach in kindergartens in Liangshan Prefecture for three consecutive semesters. Education is an important way to block the intergenerational transmission of poverty. The teaching ability of teachers, the education quality of the kindergartens and the level of the education development in Liangshan Prefecture will be improved through the assistance of a group of high-quality teachers.
