Recently, in order to enhance the liveliness of online courses and improve the quality of online teaching, the primary and secondary schools affiliated to NENU have actively explored and set up some new forms of online courses such as the “Cloud Sports Meeting” and the “fighting epidemic” course.
The middle school attached to NENU has recently set up a course of “Cloud Sports Meeting” which is an online sports meeting. The competition items are rich and interesting: “Perseverance is victory” means athletes hold buckets in their hands, “Hold up a sky” means the students and parents challenge to stand on one leg, “Unity is Strength” is for players to do sit-ups and plank. A total of more than 2,600 people participated in the event, and many projects were carried out by the whole family, alleviating the tension and pressure caused by the epidemic and learning. Zhang Peng, the sports teacher who organized the game, said: “High school students are already under heavy academic pressure. In order to alleviate the anxiety of students and parents, we specially designed an online sports event that can be held at home.”
In addition, the primary school affiliated to NENU also designed themed courses for the epidemic situation. “Awe of Life”, “Discrimination between Right and Wrong” and “Perseverance and Self-Discipline” ... This is the epidemic-prevention themed curriculum of primary school. Every day, students will be arranged education classes on the theme of “fighting against epidemic” according to the schedule. The school effectively combines science courses, psychology courses, morality and rule of law courses, and life education courses, and carries out teaching activities around the development and changes of epidemic situation and the main points of epidemic prevention.
Yu Wei, a professor of the School of Education in NENU, said that school education is a systematic project, including teaching, evaluation, correction, feedback and other links. At present, it is normal for online courses to fail to achieve the school ’s teaching effect, and parents cannot be allowed to act as principals, teachers, teaching assistants or even “punch-in clocks”.
On March 21, Xinhua News Agency gave a detailed report on the practices of primary and secondary schools affiliated to NENU.
