Recently, the pre-job intensive training for new faculty members in 2020 jointly organized by our school’s Teaching Development Center, Personnel Office, and Party School has been successfully concluded. 77 new faculty members from 21 colleges participated in the training and completion exams.
The President, Professor Liu Yichun attended the opening ceremony of the induction education for new faculty members and gave a speech. The Vice President, Professor Guo Jianhua presided over the ceremony. Relevant persons in charge of the School Development Planning Office, the Organization Department of the Party Committee, the Teacher Work Department of the Party Committee, the Academic Affairs Office, the Social Science Office, the Science and Technology Office, the Personnel Office, and the Teacher Education Development Center of the Teacher Education Research Institute attended and participated in the department meeting.
This intensive training is based on the relevant regulations of the state and the education administrative department of Jilin Province, combining with the characteristics of our school. It set up 16 theme reports including school history and school discipline, teacher ethics and style construction, pedagogy, psychology, career planning, teaching methods, education technology, education laws and regulations, and academic literature retrieval, totaling 38 hours. The training aims to encourage new faculty members to deeply understand the concept of "respectful education, creative education" and the mission of "building a world-class normal university", and to take the responsibility as university teachers in the new era of " Fostering Morality and Cultivating the Students", making them realize the role change, improve the level of teaching and scientific research, and lay a solid foundation for the creation of a first-class normal university.
