Recently, the Department of Education of Jilin Province issued the “Notice on Announcement of the List of 2019 Jilin Province Undergraduate Talent Training Reform Model Universities (Projects)”, and NENU was rated as the 2019 “Talent Training Reform Model University” (Class A).
The Jilin Province undergraduate talent training reform model university (project) is an important measure taken by the Jilin Provincial Department of Education to thoroughly implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and the National Conference on Undergraduate Education in the New Era, give full play to the role of model driving and pilot promotion, and to accelerate the construction of high-level undergraduate education with Jilin characteristics, including “talent training reform model universities” and “talent training reform model projects”. Both cannot be reported at the same time. After discussion, NENU organized the application of “Talent Training Reform Model Universities”. After the provincial Department of Education organized on-site reports, expert reviews and other parts, it finally determined 10 “talent training reform model universities” (Class A), 4 “talent training reform model universities” (Class B), and 17 “talent training reform model projects” (Class A) and 7 “talent training reform model projects” (Class B) in 2019.
NENU’s success in being selected as a “Talent Training Reform Model University” (Class A) is a full recognition of NENU’s strategic goal of setting up a world-class normal university in China, always insisting on the distinctive characteristics of serving basic education, and always taking education and teaching as its foundation, continuously deepening the reform of undergraduate education and continuously improve the quality of talent training.
