On May 4, the high school affiliated to NENU held a meeting with the theme of “Inheriting the spirit of May Fourth Movement and shouldering the responsibility of the times” to commemorate the May Fourth Youth Day and to mobilize for the National College Entrance Examination. Shao Zhihao, the principal of the affiliated high school, all the teachers in the third grade, some parents of students and all the third-grade students participated in this activity.

Shao Zhihao delivered a speech at the meeting. He said that to study the patriotic spirit of the May Fourth Movement is to seize the new opportunities in the new era and make contributions in the place where the motherland needs us most; to pursue self-reliance and to work hard; to endure hardships, to fight hard, to tackle key problems and to make contributions. He particularly emphasized that teachers and students should inherit and carry forward the May Fourth spirit nowadays, and should be self-disciplined and self-reliant, and study with perseverance. He hoped they can finish a wonderful task in the 2020 college entrance examination and even future life.

At the meeting, student representatives, outstanding graduates representatives, parents representatives and teachers representatives gave speeches on the prevention and control of COVID-19, preparation for the college entrance examination, and inheritance of May Fourth spirit.
