Recently, the theme salon "Science and Technology Innovation Development and Innovation Governance System for Young Scientists " (the "Second Forum of Young Scholars on Environmental Ecology in Northeast China”) was held by Northeast Normal University in Changchun. The meeting was held online and offline, with one main venue and seven branch venues.
Professor Zhou Dandan from the School of Environment of our university is the chairman of this academic conference. Nine leading experts from Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology of China, Harbin Institute of Technology and other universities gave speeches, and 36 young scholars gave presentations in branch venues. In addition, the conference took the form of the workshop, inviting 9 authoritative experts in the environmental field, including Professor Yu Hanqing of the University of Science and Technology of China, to have a discussion on hot topics, and received positive responses online and offline. The conference also included activities such as the Northland Scenery Photography Contest and the selection of outstanding postgraduate papers to make people pay attention to environmental and ecological issues, and to discover and train outstanding scientific researchers.
The conference focused on regional ecological and environmental issues in Northeast China and the participants analyzed and discussed the status quo of ecological environmental protection, comprehensive pollution control and recycling in industrial zones, protection and sustainable development for water. The young scientists and technologists analyzed the prominent ecological and environmental problems in the Northeast from multiple angles, and discussed the ideas and countermeasures to solve the problems, which have a profound impact on the construction of the ecological civilization of the old industrial base in Northeast China.
