Recently, our school held a farewell symposium for enlisted students in the spring of 2021. Ma Xiaoyan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of our school, and related comrades of the Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee went to the training base in Nanguan District to visit the 8 college recruits who are about to enter the service, and had a discussion in the symposium with the students.
At the symposium, Ma Xiaoyan was acquainted with the pre-commission training of the enlisted students and expressed warm congratulations to them for realizing their dreams in the military camp. Ma Xiaoyan encouraged the enlisted students to cherish the opportunity to wear uniforms, keep in mind the identity of the Northeast Normal University students, strengthen the study of political theory, continuously improve the ideological and political quality, listen to the party's command, obey orders, serve the people, and strive to be good fighters in the new era. They should dedicate to national defense, serve the motherland, and strive to write a beautiful chapter of youth in the military camp. The enlisted students expressed their gratitude to the school for its care and concern, and will surely keep in mind the entrustment of the alma mater, establish a good image of the students of the Northeast Normal University in the army and win honor for our school. For a long time, our school attaches great importance to the enlistment of college students in the army, and continues to do the best to do a good job in the recruitment of college students through innovative forms of propaganda, strengthening demonstration and guidance, and optimizing conscription services. In 2020, our school overfulfilled the task of conscription, and one student was selected as the first batch of outstanding retired college soldiers in Jilin Province.
