Recently, the Student Financial Aid Management Center of NENU received a letter of commendation from the National Student Financial Aid Management Center of the Ministry of Education, approving of the evaluation work of the National Scholarship for Undergraduates in the 2019-2020 academic year of NENU. The letter points out that NENU has complete submission materials, standardized selection procedures, substantial recommended content, and rigorous and effective recommendation organization, and it has been rated as a university with a well-organized and outstanding performance in the evaluation work.
The National Undergraduate Scholarship is the highest level award for undergraduates. In the 2019-2020 academic year, a total of 127 undergraduates from NENU won this honor. Over the years, NENU has attached great importance to the evaluation work of national scholarships. In accordance with the requirements of relevant national documents, we have improved the evaluation standards, strictly controlled the evaluation process, and revised and issued the “Northeast Normal University National Scholarship Evaluation Measures for Undergraduates” (see [2020] No. 126 document issued by NENU) to ensure the evaluation work norms. NENU also pays attention to the incentive and guiding role of the national scholarships for students, fully explores models, sets examples, and cultivates the advanced. The recommended national scholarship-winning student representatives have been selected for three consecutive years in the “Representative List of National Scholarship Awarded Students for Undergraduates and Junior College Students” and published in the special edition of People’s Daily.
