From May 15th to 16th, the 45th ICPC（International College Student Programming Contest）Asia Regional Competition in Yinchuan was hosted by Ningxia Institute of Science and Technology. There were 511 teams from 246 schools including Tsinghua University, Peking University and Northeast Normal University. Two teams of NENU have obtained official qualifications. The team led by instructor Zhou Zhiguo of the School of Information Science and Technology finally ranked the 11th and won the gold medal. The team led by instructor Luo Na of the School of Information Science and Technology won the bronze medal.
Founded in 1970, ICPC is an annual competition to show college students' innovative ability, team spirit and ability to analyze and solve problems by writing programs under pressure. After nearly 50 years of development, ICPC has developed into the most influential computer competition for college students in the world, and is known as the Olympic competition in the computer field.
