The University Student Volunteer Service Program in the West China is a special program jointly initiated by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to encourage college graduates to do the grassroots work in the West China. Our school is in the first batch of universities in our country to participate in the West Program. Since 1998, it has successfully formed 23 postgraduate education assistance groups and sent 383 volunteers to Qinghai, Ningxia, Henan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Jilin and other regions to carry out education support and poverty alleviation work.
