On June 18th, the special activity of "History and Culture Academy" sponsored by the School of History and Culture and undertaken by the Youth League Committee, the Student Union and the Graduate Union of the School for the Top-notch Student Training Program 2.0 Base “History and Culture Academy”-“The Wish of History” aesthetic education studio founding ceremony and the award ceremony of 2021 “Inheritors of Historical World” was held. More than 200 members of the leadership team of the School of History and Culture, representatives of professional teachers, representatives of alumni, members of the student working group and undergraduates and masters participated in this event. Part of the instructors of the first to third “Inheritors of Historical World” and “Peer Mentor Group of the Historical World” and parents of the 4th “Inheritors of Historical World” participated in the event online. Dean Dong Haozhi and Party Secretary Yang Shanling delivered speeches on behalf of the school.
During the event, Dong Jun, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice dean of the college, announced the “Decision on the Establishment of the ‘The wish of History’ Aesthetic Education Studio of the School of History and Culture” and “About the announcement of the first batch of members of ‘The wish of History’ Student Chorus and Student Drama Troupe of the School of History and Culture”, and sent the letter of appointment to the first head and deputy head of the “The Wish of History” student choir and drama troupe. The student choir performed the work “I Love You China” which won the first place in the school’s “Youth Heart to the Party” Red Song Chorus Competition and the first original recital play “The Long River of History” was presented by the student drama troupe as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The 4th “Inheritors of Historical World” award ceremony of the college was also held at the meeting. Fan Xing, Cao Jun, Wang Xu, Chen Hai'e and other four “Inheritors of Historical World” honorary award winners and Xue Zhen, Xu Xuan, Li Wenzhuo, Ma Xinrui, Dong Xinxin, Ren Bo and other six “Inheritors of Historical World” took the inheritor oath and delivered keynote and acceptance speeches.
For a long time, the School of History and Culture has always attached great importance to the cultivation of top-notch historical talents against the background of “double first-class” construction, and continued to comprehensively promote and improve the college’s talent training pattern of “three education comprehensively, five education simultaneously” (three education means all-staff education, all-time education, and all-round education, five education means moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic,and labor education). The establishment of the “The wish of History” aesthetic education studio is not only an important part of the “History and Culture Academy” aesthetic education special plan of the 2.0 base of the top-notch student training plan, but also the main implementation carrier of college and university cultural construction and ideological and political work.
