On May 10th, the “Summary and Commendation Conference for Poverty Alleviation in Jilin Province” was held in the Provincial Hotel. Comrade E Yiqiang of NENU, deputy mayor of Tongyu County on secondment, and comrade Wang Shuai, first secretary of Dongguan Village, Zhanyu Town, Tongyu County are on the list of the “Advanced Individual in Jilin Province’s Poverty Alleviation”.
Since 2020, NENU has undertaken designated poverty alleviation tasks in Tongyu County. NENU has focused on building an education assistance system based on the “U-G-S” model, striving to achieve the organic combination of “forcing on poverty alleviation in the near term” and “long-term continuous support in the future” and made every effort to do a good job in education and poverty alleviation. Since undertaking the task, it has invested a total of 2.3628 million yuan in assistance funds, introduced 2.1 million yuan in assistance funds, trained 257 grassroots cadres, 2,469 technical personnel, purchased 2,578,300 agricultural products in poverty-stricken areas, and helped sell 3.1085 million yuan worth of produce in poverty-stricken areas, which laid a solid foundation for Tongyu County to win the battle against poverty.
In the future, NENU will continue to conscientiously implement the work arrangements of the Party Central Committee, the State Council, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Government, continue to carry forward the NENU’s spirit of “strengthening the teacher to serve the country, seeking truth and creation”, continue to consolidate the results of poverty alleviation, and explore the path to achieve an effective connection between comprehensive poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. We will take real action and work diligently, and greet the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party with a rigorous mental state, and contribute new and greater forces to the comprehensive construction of a new socialist modern Jilin and to accelerate the realization of the comprehensive revitalization of Jilin in the new era.
