Recently, the 24th Annual Meeting of the National Economic Geography Research Association (Member Representative Conference) and the National Social Science Funded “the 14th Five-Year Plan” High-quality Regional Coordinated Development Seminar was held in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. At the meeting, the society’s directors and executive directors were re-elected, and the new leadership of the society was elected. Professor Gu Guofeng of the School of Geographical Sciences of NENU was re-elected consecutively as the executive director and was elected as the vice president.
This conference is held online, with the theme of the “the 14th Five-Year Plan” high-quality regional coordinated development, focusing on theories of economic geography and the exploration of frontier issues in the regional economy. The National Economic Geography Research Association was established in June 1983. It is a national academic group that studies the theoretical and practical issues of economic geography. As a first-level society registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China, the society has been aiming at organizing national economic geography theoretical researchers to conduct in-depth practical investigation and research, and the society has been committed to providing decision-making consultations for the central government, localities and enterprises at all levels, and serving economic geography and regional economics theoretical research and discipline construction for many years.
