Recently, Science and Technology Department of Jilin Province published Decisions on 2021 Jilin Province Science and Technology Awards, among which, 9 scientific and technological achievements of NENU made an appearance on the list, including 1 first-class award, 7 second-class awards, and 1 third-class award, which covers many disciplines such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, environment, agronomy, basic medical sciences, etc. Among these achievements, the project of “Research and Application of Comprehensive Risk of Dynamic Evaluation Technology for Multi-hazard Major Agricultural Meteorological Disasters” with Professor Zhang Jiquan from School of Environment, NENU as the leader won first-class Science and Technology Award.
NENU sticks to the strategy of building up a powerful institution of higher learning through scientific researches all the way, carefully studies and implements President Xi Jinping’s important expositions on sci-tech innovation and important statements as well as important instructions presented by President Xi Jinping when he visited Jilin Province, and regards promoting sci-tech innovation as a key step of high-quality development. NENU has made a batch of typical scientific and technological achievements, which promotes the “Double First-Class” construction of NENU. It is reported that a total of 276 scientific and technological awards were granted this year, including 36 first-class awards, 110 second-class awards, and 130 third-class awards; among first-class awards, there are 6 natural science awards, 5 technological invention awards, and 25 scientific and technological progress awards.
