From August 22ndto 24th, the final of the China Undergraduate Life Sciences Contest (CULSC) (2022, Scientific Exploration Category) of Northeast Normal University parallel competition was held in our school. As one of the four parallel competition venues of the national competition, NENU reviewed 75 entries from 38 colleges and universities in 5 provinces of Anhui, Xinjiang, Heilongjiang, Beijing and Tianjin. A total of 30 first prizes and 54 second prizes were selected.
CULSC is one of the top competitions of the national college student discipline recognized by the Ministry of Education, which aims to cultivate college students’ innovative awareness, practical ability and team spirit, broaden their scientific horizons, and enhance their sense of social responsibility. This national competition has lasted for one year. A total of 8,614 teams from 31 provinces and cities and 528 colleges and universities across the country signed up for the competition. After online review and provincial finals, a total of 508 participating projects were shortlisted for the national final. The national final took the form of online defense and offline evaluation, and each parallel competition event took place simultaneously and separately.
The team from NENU performed well in this competition, winning 16 first prizes, 24 second prizes, and 42 third prizes. NENU won the “Excellent Organization Award in the Final of the CULSC (2022, Scientific Exploration Category)”.
