On September 12th, the mid-term summing-up meeting of the national key research and development program “Key Scientific Issues in Transformative Technologies”, “Key Mathematical Problems for Massive Multi-source Remote Sensing Data Processing and Its Industrial Applications” was convened successfully. Professor Guo Jianhua, vice president of NENU, was the chairperson. Academician Guo Lei of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the leader of the expert group, Li Fang, deputy director of the Jilin Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Li Yangguang, director of the Science and Technology Department of NENU, attended the meeting and gave talks respectively. The meeting was held online, and more than 60 people in charge of the schools and teachers and students from the project team were present. The meeting was presided over by the leader of the project, Guo Jianhua.
At the meeting, the leaders of the four research groups established for the project reported on the research progress, research results, future work plans, etc. After careful deliberation, the expert group unanimously agreed that the project aims at the accuracy, robustness and rapidity of remote sensing data processing, and carried out research on mathematical and statistical theories and algorithms suitable for super-resolution reconstruction of massive remote sensing data and inversion of important parameters. At the same time, the expert group also put forward valuable opinions and suggestions for the further promotion and implementation of the project.
In the end, Guo Jianhua said in his concluding remarks that he would seriously discuss and implement the opinions and suggestions put forward by the expert group. In the future, the four research groups of the project will further strengthen cooperation, focusing on scientific issues and practical needs, unswervingly follow the research route of cross-integration, and strive to achieve major original innovation breakthroughs.
