On April 17th, the opening ceremony of the school-based trainer team building (DB1) project of “Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan for Normal Education” was held in NENU. Kang Jianqiang, Vice President of Baicheng Normal University, and Wei Min, Director of Academic Affairs Office of NENU attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The activity was hosted by Li Guang, Executive Dean of the Institute of Teacher Education and Director of the Teacher Teaching Development Center.
Wei Min extended welcome to the leaders of Baicheng Normal University and the project participants, introduced the background and objectives of the “Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan for Normal Education” proposed by the Ministry of Education, and affirmed the top-level design and phased progress of theDB1 project. Wei Min said that the “Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan for Normal Education” is an important measure to implement the spirit of the national Plan for Strengthening Teacher of Basic Education in the New Era and other documents. He hoped that the two universities would take the project as an opportunity to jointly build a high-quality and professional team of school-based trainers, effectively improve the “hematopoietic” ability of Baicheng Normal University, and effectively improve the talent training quality of Baicheng Normal University and its ability to serve the high-quality development of basic education in western Jilin.
Kang Jianqiang introduced the history, characteristics, advantages and development difficulties of Baicheng Normal University, and expressed his gratitude to NENU for its support to Baicheng Normal University in implementing the “Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan for Normal Education” since the project was launched. He pointed out that the DB1 project is an important project for Baicheng Normal University to strengthen teacher education, specialize non-normaleducation, serve local development, and promote the high-quality and connotative development of the school. He hoped that the two universities could continue to promote cooperation and exchanges, effectively promote the development of teachers’teaching, and effectively improve the quality of independent training of talents in Baicheng Normal University.
Tong Hua, director of the Teachers’ Teaching Development Center of BaichengNormal University, as the leader of the DB1 project, expounded the significance ofthe project from five aspects, and hoped that all the students could learn and achieve something. Duan Lihua, vice president of the Institute of Teacher Education and deputy director of the Teacher Teaching Development Center of NENU, made a speech on behalf of the leading construction unit of the DB1 project of NENU, and explained the implementation plan of the DB1 project, the enrollment training and follow-up guidance, and promised that the Institute of Teacher Education would integrate the high-quality resources of NENU to provide training satisfactory to the country and the two schools. Professor Han Jiwei from the School of Mathematics and Statistics of NENU and Associate Professor Wang Zhigang from Baicheng Normal University gave speeches as representatives of DB1 project instructors and students respectively.
