The Delegation of NENU visited Ural Federal University and Tyumen National University in Russia

Recently, at the invitation of Ural Federal University and Tyumen National University in Russia, people in charge of the School of Physics, the School of Chemistry, the School of Political Science and Law, the International School of Chinese and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of NENU paid a working visit to Russia.

During the visit to the Ural Federal University, Kuzmin Ilya, vice president of the university, welcomed the delegation and introduced the development of the university. Later, the delegation visited the School of Natural Science and Mathematics, the School of Science and the School of Humanities of the Ural Federal University respectively. On the basis of full understanding, the two sides held consultations on joint research projects and the establishment of a joint center for physics and chemistry, and fully discussed the establishment of a research center to carry out joint education projects in the fields of international relations, Russian studies, Russian-Chinese political comparative studies, foreign regional studies and oriental studies.

During the visit to Tyumen National University, Andrei Valerievich Batrushaf, vice-president of the university, welcomed the delegation members, and then they visited the Institute of Environment and Society, the School of State and Law, the School of Physical Chemistry and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tyumen National University together, and had in-depth discussions with the heads of all the schools. The two sides discussed cooperation in the fields of international relations comparison, applied physical chemistry and international Chinese education.

This visit has enhanced the mutual understanding between NENU and Russianschools, and laid the foundation for further cooperation with Russian universities.

UrFU, also known as Yeltsin University, is one of the four major institutes of technology in the Soviet Union, located in Yekaterinburg, the city with the third strongest economy and the fourth largest population in Russia. The school has 36,000 students and more than 4,500 teachers from 101 countries around the world, including top global experts. The school’s research institutes offer more than 460 bachelor’s, master’s and doctor’s degree courses in natural science, engineering, social science, humanities, economics and management which are taught in Russian and English.

Tyumen National University is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Siberia, Russia. Its predecessor was the Normal College, which was established in 1930. The classic traditional education of Tyumen National University coexists with the latest world trend, boasting a unique educational plan and English courses. Tyumen National University has been developing continuously in recent years and participated in the “5-100 Project”. This project is a government project, which aims to improve the competitiveness of advanced Russian universities in the world’s leading science and education centers.
