On June 27th, NENU held the 2023 Tian Jiabing Excellent Publicly-funded Normal Students Scholarship Award Ceremony. Wang Yan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of NENU, and relevant persons in charge of the Student Affairs Office and the Alumni Work Office attended the event. This year, 48 winners of Tian Jiabing Excellent Publicly-funded Normal Students Scholarship participated online and offline in the ceremony.
At the meeting, Wang Yan presented awards to the representatives of the award-winning students. On behalf of the school, he expressed warm congratulations to the the students, and heartfelt thanks to Tian Jiabing Foundation for its strong support to the education of Northeast Normal University over the years. He told the award-winning students to always be grateful, live up to the entrustment of Tian Jiabing Foundation and NENU, inherit and practice the spirit of “strengthening the teacher to serve the country and being realistic and creative” with practical actions, stand on thethree-footed rostrum, be a guide who will never change his mind, be a dreamer of the times, and make greater contributions to educating a strong country and national rejuvenation.
Tian Jiabing Scholarship for Excellent Normal Students is a special scholarship established by Tian Jiabing Foundation to encourage more normal students to love the teaching profession, pursue teachers’ professional development, pay attention to self-cultivation, actively participate in education and contribute to the development of national education. As one of the 10 universities with the tradition of normal education selected by Tian Jiabing Foundation, NENU was approved with a project fund of 540,000 yuan, and 144 normal students won this award for three consecutive years since 2021.
