Recently, the final of the 8th China Collegiate Programming Contest, hosted by the Organizing Committee of China Collegiate Programming Contest and Sun Yat-sen University, was held. After fierce competition, the teams (2019 students Shi Manling, Li Jiaqi, 2020 student Liu Yimu) under the guidance of Associate Professor Wang Yiyuan from the School of Information Science and Technology of NENU finally won the bronze prize.
China Collegiate Programming Contest (CCPC) is an annual subject competition for college students nationwide sponsored by the Education and Examination Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It aims to stimulate college students’ interest in acquiring professional knowledge and skills in the computer field and encourage them to flexibly use what they learn to solve practical problems. By participating in the contest college students may effectively improve their ability of algorithm design, logical reasoning, mathematical modeling, programming realization and computer system and develop their teamwork consciousness, spirit of challenge and innovation ability to serve to build a “country with powerful manufacturing and cyberpower”, CCPC also commits itself to cultivating and selecting a large number of high-quality information technology talents with excellent quality and reasonable structure. A total of 129 teams from 114 universities participated in the final.
