On the afternoon of May 17th, the employment promotion meeting for the 2023 graduates was held in the School of Media Science (School of Journalism). Lan Hengbin, secretary of the Party Committee of NENU, attended the meeting. Xue Lifeng, the vice President of NENU, presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, the Student Employment Guidance Service Center reported the employment progress of the 2023 graduates of NENU and the key work measures in the next stage. Lan Hengbin conveyed the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important instructions on college graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship and the spirit of May 11th national teleconference on employment and entrepreneurship for young college graduates.
He pointed out that learning Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era should be closely combined with the employment of college graduates, effectively transform the results of study and research into practical actions, and conscientiously conduct job in the employment of graduates.
Lan Hengbin demanded that all schools and relevant units should mobilize and redeploy again, strengthen organizational leadership, seize the critical period of work, and make efforts to speed up the implementation of key tasks. First, we should implement the relevant requirements of the Party and the state to promote employment solidly, and pay close attention to implementation with the spirit of nailing. Second, we should improve the responsibility of station compaction and strictly implement the “top leadership” project of employment. Third, we should do everything possible to open up market-oriented employment channels, open up more high-quality jobs for graduates, carry out various grassroots employment projects, implement various preferential policies, and guide graduates to work at the grassroots level. Fourth, we should do a good job in employment guidance whole-heartedly,guide students to establish a correct view of employment and job choice, and strengthen their confidence in employment. Fifth, we should improve the linkage mechanism of enrollment and employment, improve the quality of employment, and promote the optimization of disciplines and specialties. Sixth, strictly implement the discipline of employment statistics to ensure the authenticity and credibility of employment data.
