The School Hospital of NENU Held Activities to Celebrate 5.12 Nurses' Day

In order to carry forward the Nightingale spirit and inspire the medical staff to love their jobs, unite and forge ahead, and devote themselves to fraternity, on May 12th, the school hospital held the 112th series of celebrations of the International Nurses’ Day. Xue Lifeng, vice president, attended the event and delivered a speech. Relevant leaders of the Trade Union, the Women’s Commission and all the staff of the school hospital participated in the activity.

In his speech, Xue Lifeng highly praised all the medical staff in the school hospital, especially the nursing staff, for their important contributions in the fight against the epidemic. He pointed out that during the epidemic prevention and control in the past three years, all medical staff have earnestly practiced the lofty professional spirit of “respecting lives, saving lives, being willing to contribute, and having boundless love”, and fought in the front line of clinic and fighting against the epidemic with full work enthusiasm, good mental state and solid work style, which fully demonstrated the demeanor of these nurses and showcased the responsibilities of medical staff in the new era. He encouraged the majority of medical staff to continue to adhere to the fine style of selfless dedication, constantly improve the medical level and the quality of nursing services, and contribute to safeguarding the health of teachers and students and boosting the development of NENU.

During the activity, the school hospital commended 20 nursing staff who had made outstanding contributions to the prevention and control of the epidemic. By selecting the typical, they played a leading role in demonstrating, further promoting the spirit of fighting epidemic and boosting morale. Subsequently, activities such as nursing skill competition, first aid skill drill and oath of new nurses were carried out. Medical staff is enthusiastically responsive to the activities, saying that they will keep in mind the Nightingale spirit in their future work, constantly arm themselves with superb technology and rich knowledge, innovate in professional fields, continuously improve their medical ability and nursing level, and make new and greater contributions to helping the construction of world-class normal universities and protecting the health of teachers and students.
