On May 18th, the China Museum Association unveiled the results of the sixth museum operation evaluation (2019-2021), and the Natural Museum of NENU passed the operation evaluation successfully, ranking significantly higher than in the last operation evaluation result, by more than 40 places.
The rank evaluation of national museums is the most scientific and thorough authoritative index to evaluate the operation quality of China museums. Up to now, China has carried out four batches of museum rank evaluations and six operation evaluations.
In 2008, the Natural History Museum of NENU was rated as the first batch of “national first-class museum” in China, and it was also the first “national first-class museum” in Jilin Province and universities in China. Through this operation evaluation, the Natural Museum has further strengthened its business in standardized management, service output and social evaluation.
