Recently, the first Northeast Area Excellent History Teachers’ Teaching and Research Collaborative Forum was held, which was sponsored by the School of History and Culture of NENU. Present at the forum were history researchers from senior and junior high schools in Jilin Province, Changchun City and Shenyang City, 63 outstanding representatives from the history teaching and research departments and provincial and municipal teaching and research units of 26 key middle schools in six cities including Changchun City, Harbin City and Shenyang City, as well as leaders of Jilin Provincial Institute of Education, Department of Education of NENU and other people in charge of the subject of history and culture. The leaders of the history major of Baicheng Normal University and Mudanjiang Normal University, which are assisted by NENU under the “Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan for Normal Education of Ministry of Education” participated in the observation. This activity is also an important part of the research activity of “How to Cultivate Excellent History Teachers” in the school’s theme education.
Professor Ye Xiaobing, chairman of the Committee of History of the Basic Education Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, from Capital Normal University, members of the Special Committee, Professor Zheng Lin from Beijing Normal University and other experts attended the meeting. At the meeting, the Teaching and Research Collaboration of Outstanding History Teachers in Northeast China was established, which consists of the curriculum and teaching theory team of the School of History and Culture, the history teaching and research sections of Jilin Provincial Institute of Education, Changchun Basic Education Research Center and Shenyang Education Research Institute, High School Attached to Northeast Normal University, the Affiliated Experimental School and Xincheng School, Jilin Experimental Middle School, Changchun Foreign Language School, No.11 High School, Liwang Experimental Middle School, No.5 Middle School, Arts and ScienceHigh School, Changchun School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University, Liaoning Experimental Middle School, Northeast Yucai School, Shenyang No.2 Middle School, No.20 Middle School No.134 Middle School, Harbin No.3 Middle School, No.9 Middle School, No.6 Middle School, No.1 Middle School, No.24 Middle School, No.13 Middle School, Middle School Affiliated to Harbin Normal University, Heilongjiang Experimental Middle School, Songyuan Binjiang School, Meihekou No.5 Middle School and Daqing Experimental Middle School. At the establishment ceremony, special guidance experts and the second batch of off-campus part-time tutors were hired. In the keynote speech and sub-forum, 4 experts and scholars and 19 representatives of basic education made thematic reports and speeches.
The establishment of the Teaching and Research Collaboration of Outstanding History Teachers in Northeast China aims to further promote the innovation and development of the training mode of teacher-to-be students of history, continue to further optimize the excellent history teachers’ training system of “pre-service+post-service”, “theory+practice” seamless connection and “first classroom+second classroom” collaborative innovation, and actively explore the “universities-middle schools-teaching and research institutions” of history education and teaching in Northeast China.
