On September 5, Yamane Kohei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kobe University, Japan, and a group of four people visited our university. President Xu Haiyang met Yamane Kohei and his delegation. Zhang Jingping, director of the International and Cooperation Exchange Office, Jiao Runkai, director of the Kindergarten Principal Training Center of the Ministry of Education, and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
Xu Haiyang expressed welcome on behalf of the university and introduced the development of the university. According to him, our univerisity focuses on high-quality development and adheres to open education. He hopes that the two universities will strengthen exchanges and carry out deeper cooperation in the areas such as teacher and student exchanges, professional development of preschool education, and principal training.
Yamane Kohei expressed his appreciation for the achievements of our university and expressed his gratitude to Northeast Normal University, especially the previous presidents, for their support in exchanges and cooperation with Kobe Shinwa Women’s University. At the same time, he introduced the school-running situation of Kobe Shinwa Women’s University and expected to maintain close exchanges and cooperation in the next step.
After the meeting, Yamane Kohei and his delegation went to the kindergarten attached to our university and involved themselves in the kindergarten’s outdoor activities, activity teaching and visited Lego classroom. Then there was a discussion at the Kindergarten Principal Training Center of the Ministry of Education, where they reviewed the wonderful cooperation with the Kindergarten Principal Training Center of the Ministry of Education over years. Since 2015, the Kindergarten Principal Training Center of the Ministry of Education has jointly organized five international kindergarten symposiums with Kobe Shinwa Women’s University, the Kindergarten of the Primary School attached to the University of Toronto in Canada, and the Montessori Kindergarten in Italy. Every year, more than 30 principals from our country participate in the seminars, which has played a good role in broadening the international horizon of the principals.
